- Anne Springs Close Greenway
The town of Fort Mill is fortunate to have a 2300-acre greenway around the northern section. Donated by the Springs family, this scenic area has plenty of lakes, ponds, creeks, farmland, bridges and old buildings. Trails are available for hiking, horseback riding, and off-road bicycling. There is also a paved trail for the handicapped.
- Buster Boyd Access Area
This popular landing is located in the middle of the town of Lake Wylie. Several stores, marinas, and restaurants are within walking distance, so this area is normally bustling with activity. A paved bicycle path begins here and runs though the surrounding neighborhood.
- Catawba Cultural Center
The Catawba Cultural Preservation Project Center maintains a collection of historic American Indian displays and artifacts. The old reservation schoolhouse now houses numerous displays plus a craft store. A nature trail takes you down to an archaeological site, a Native American garden, and a reconstructed bark house. At the end of the trail you can get a magnificent view of the Catawba River.
- Cherry Park
This attractive park is located in suburban Rock Hill, SC, with easy access from I-77. Its main features are the sports and exercise facilities, including soccer and softball fields, plus walking, jogging, and bicycle trails. You can find some playgrounds and picnic areas scattered throughout the park also.
- Draper Wildlife Management Area
Also referred to as the “Draper Tract” or the “Brattonsville Tract”, this wildlife management area is managed specifically for small game, however good white-tailed deer and wild turkey populations are present. Although managed for hunting, other forms of outdoor recreation such as hiking, bicycling, and bird watching are very popular here. Horseback riding is not allowed. There are three stocked ponds on this WMA, and special limits and open times apply.
- Ebenezer Park of Rock Hill
In the summer, this is a popular place for camping and for launching boats onto Lake Wylie. The picnic area provides a good view of the lake.
- Fewell Park
This wooded park in a residential section of Rock Hill has a stage, a picnic area, a playground, a community building, a short nature trail, and a disc golf course. Visit the Fewell Park Art Gallery to see some works of fine area artists, plus some traveling exhibits!
- Fort Mill Access Area
Tucked away in York County is this small access area which provides a spectacular view of the Catawba River and the Wylie Dam. A few short hiking trails lead you off into the surrounding woods.
- Glencairn Garden
Located in a residential section of Rock Hill is a very attractive botanical garden with fountains, bridges, grassy areas, trees, flowers, and walking paths.
- Harris Street Park
Harris Street Park is a ten-acre park with a nice playground, located in the Harris Street neighborhood between Jackson Street and Yorktowne Street. A paved bike trail runs from here to Walter Y. Elisha Park.
- Historic Brattonsville
This 775-acre site features over thirty colonial and antebellum structures, two house museums, a Revolutionary War battlefield site, hiking trails, and heritage breed farm animals. You can spend many hours wandering around here, experiencing southern rural life from the 1750s to the 1850s.
- Kings Mountain National Military Park
A wide variety of activites are available in this National Park and the adjacent State Park along the border between North and South Carolina. Numerous hiking trails will be found in the scenic hilly terrain. You can find an excellent visitors′ center with a museum and some paved history trails. A movie playing inside the museum tells the story of the Battle of Kings Mountain.

- Kings Mountain State Park
A wide variety of activites are available in this State Park and the adjacent National Military Park along the border between North and South Carolina. Numerous hiking trails will be found in the scenic hilly terrain. A “Living History Farm” contains a collection of old log and timber structures such as a barn, a cotton gin and a carpenter shop, most of which have been moved in from other parts of the foothills region. The park′s ponds provide opportunities for fishing and boating.

- Manchester Meadows
This 70-acre soccer-oriented park has something for everyone, from the avid soccer player or fan to the walking enthusiast. Parents have a playground for the children. Meeting and event planners have more options. Come on out, and have a ball!
- Museum of York County
The Museum of York County has changing exhibits, natural science, hands on projects, and other education programs. A picnic area and hiking trails are located behind the museum building.
- Nivens Creek Landing
This boat ramp, owned by Duke Power Company, is located on Lake Wylie just north of the dam.
- Rock Hill Blackjacks Heritage Preserve
The Rock Hill Blackjacks Heritage Preserve contains several hiking trails. Thirteen rare plant species are represented in this preserve.
- Springfield Trail
The Springfield Trail is a little over two miles long. It borders Sugar Creek on the eastern side of the Springfield development. A suspension bridge near the southern end provides a crossing over a large drain, and is built on grade to accommodate bikers as well as hikers. A variety of wildlife species can be seen along the trail.
- Walter Y. Elisha Park
The site of an old textile mill now has a large grassy field with paved trails, a fitness course, and several statues. A paved bike trail runs from here to the Harris Street Park.
- Windjammer Beach Park
This small park in Tega Cay has a picnic area with some great views of Lake Wylie, plus a beach where you can swim.
- Winthrop Park
Located next to Winthrop University, this park has a variety of sports facilities.
