The Santee National Wildlife Refuge offers a great mix of natural education, wonderful scenery, and historic preservation. You will find all three of these here at the main unit of the refuge. The visitors' center the Bluff Unit is a great place to begin your visit.

Hiking along the Wrights Bluff Nature Trail gives you some great views of Cantey Bay, the wildlife farm fields, and numerous wetlands. Many species of wild animals pass through here at different times of the year.

How to Get There

• Take I-95 to exit #102, then go northeast on US #15/#301 for 0.8 kilometers (0.5 miles). The entrance will be on the left.
