Not really an island, this peninsula on Lake Murray has several dirt roads and hiking trails, plus a sandy beach. It is a popular place for boaters.

How to Get There
Because of the lack of parking, Bundrick Island is not accessable by car. You can get there by boat or by bicycle.
Take I-20 to exit #51 and go north on Longs Pond Road 5.5 miles (8.9 km.). ( The road changes names twice. ) Turn left onto Old Cherokee Road, then turn right onto Brady Porth Road, which leads up to the gate.
OR
Follow US #378 west out of the town of Lexington. Turn right 2.0 miles (3.3 km.) beyond where US #1 and US #378 split and go north on Wise Ferry Road 0.8 miles (1.3 km.). Turn left and follow Old Cherokee Road 2.3 miles (3.7 km.) northwest. Turn right onto Brady Porth Road, which leads up to the gate.
