Canal Recreation Area
Located in Berkeley County, SC.
   
This is a nice picnic spot in the Francis Marion National Forest, with access to Lake Moultrie and the Palmetto Trail. There are two restrooms here, but they have been vandalized and are not well maintained.

How to get there
|
Located on US #52 between Bonneau and Moncks Corner, SC.
Take I-26 to exit #199 and go northeast on US #17-Alt. After 25.6 kilometers (15.9 miles), it merges with US #52. Continue northeast on this road 3.1 km. (1.9 mi.). When you get to the fork, take US #52 north 6.6 km. (4.1 mi.) and look for the Canal Recreation Area sign on the left.
