Just outside of the entrance to Lake Wateree State Recreation Area, River Road (#101) crosses Duchman Creek (also known as “Dutchman's Creek”) at the James H. (Mac) McSwain Bridge. A nice walkway runs along the east side of this bridge, where you can get some spectacular views of Lake Wateree. From the north end, the walkway continues to the entrance to the Lake Wateree State Recreation Area.
