Forty Acre Rock
Located in Lancaster County, SC.
The most prominent feature of this area is a massive rock that you can walk across and admire the scenery. Many unusual plants can be found here, and there are hiking trails with several steep climbs.

How to get there
|
Take I-77 to exit #65 and go east on SC #9 for 28 kilometers (17 miles). Continue straight on the US #521 bypass for 4.1 km. (2.5 mi.), then turn left onto SC #903. Go east on SC #903 for 6.7 km. (4.2 mi.), then turn left and go east on secondary road #123 for 16.7 km. (10.4 mi.). Turn right and go south on road #27 for 0.6 km. (0.4 mi.), then turn right onto Forty Acre Rock Road (unpaved). Follow this road to Forty Acre Rock.
OR
From Kershaw, SC, take US #601 north, past SC #903, and turn left onto road #27. Go north 3.3 kilometers (2.0 miles), then turn left onto Forty Acre Rock Road (unpaved). Follow this road to Forty Acre Rock.
