Located on a peninsula on Thurmond Lake, between Modoc and Parksville, is this recreation area with many lakeside picnic tables and over 200 campsites.

How to get there

Located on US #221 / SC #28 between Modoc and Parksville, 20.0 km. south of McCormick, SC.

Take I-20 to exit #199 in Georgia. Go west on Georgia #104 (Washington Road) 1.5 kilometers and turn right onto Georgia #28 (Furys Ferry Road). Go north 11.3 km. to the Savannah River. Continue north on SC #28 21.8 km., and look for a sign on the left of the road.
