Located on a peninsula on Thurmond Lake at Clarks Hill, between Modoc and Parksville, is this popular recreation area, which was formerly known as the “Hamilton Branch State Recreation Area”. It has many lakeside picnic tables and over two hundred campsites, many of which overlook the lake.

  • Several picnic shelters, which will accommodate 40 - 50 people, are available to rent for $25.00-$32.00 per day. To make a reservation, call 866-345-PARK.

  • Located on US #221 / SC #28 between Modoc and Parksville, 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) south of McCormick, SC.
