The Kalmia Gardens in Hartsville feature many species of plants, flowers, herbs, and greenery. It is a wonderful place to walk around and explore. Just behind the gardens, you will find the Segars Heritage Preserve. This preserve has a series of trails and boardwalks where you can view the Black Creek and the swamp. In addition, the Sawyer Bike Path runs by the edge of the garden and down West Carolina Avenue.
