This is a popular place to visit, despite its remote location. There are some good hiking trails through the area's hilly terrain, plus a lake which offers swimming, boating, and fishing. Only rowboats and boats with electric motors are permitted. A nice wooded campground near the lake is open from April to December.

How to Get There

• Take I-20 to exit #1. Go north on SC #230 for 26.8 kilometers (16.6 miles), then turn right onto road #263 (Lick Fork Road). Go southeast on this road 3.2 km. (2 mi.), then turn right onto road #392. Follow this road into the Lick Fork Lake Recreation Area.
