How to get there

From Bluffton, SC, take SC #46 or SC #170 west. Shortly after the two highways merge into May River Road, you will come upon a bridge over the trail. Just past the bridge, you can park your car on the right (north) side of the road, and a small pathway leads eastward toward the New River Trail.

An alternate entrance is available in a residential area nearby. Look for the Heritage at New Riverside neighborhood entrance on the south side of May River Road (SC #46/170). After entering the neighborhood, go halfway around the traffic circle to the Heritage Parkway. Follow Heritage Parkway for about 0.75 miles (1.2 kilometers), and there will be trail entrances on both sides of the road.
