Completed in 1859, Redcliffe Plantation was the home of Governor James H. Hammond. Now, the house and grounds are open to the public as a state historic site. Tours of the house are given Thursday - Monday at 1:00p, 2:00p, and 3:00p. There is also a nature trail and a fishing pond.

- Special events are permitted on the grounds of Redcliffe Plantation, but not inside the buildings. Contact the park for information at 803-827-1473, or at redcliffe@scprt.com.
How to Get There
Take I-20 to exit #1, then go south on SC #230 (Martintown Road) 4.0 miles (6.5 km.). Turn left onto SC #125 (Atomic Road). Go southeast on SC #125 7.1 miles (11.4 km.) until you get to the town of Beech Island. Then go east on US #278 1.5 miles (2.4 km.). Turn right onto Hammond Road (#580), go down a short distance, then turn right onto Redcliffe Road (unpaved). Look for Redcliffe Plantation on the right.
