On both sides of the Rediversion Canal, which runs from Lake Moultrie to the Santee River, you will find large grassy fields and several wildlife management areas. Public access is available from US #52, SC #49, secondary road #35, and a few other places. Hard-packed unpaved trails also run along both sides of the canal, which are great for walking or bicycling. This canal is also listed as a wildlife viewing area. Both the Palmetto Trail and the 3-D Bike Trail pass through here.
