This wildlife area on the north side of Lake Moultrie has several hiking trails thru the wetlands, plus access to the Palmetto Trail. A nearby campsite overlooks the lake.

How to get there

Take I-95 to exit #98 and go southeast on SC #6 33.9 kilometers. Turn left onto SC #45 and go northeast 15.3 kilometers. Look for the fire tower. Turn right onto Sandy Beach Road (unpaved) and follow this road into the Wildlife Management Area.
