Sandy Beach Wildlife Management Area

This wildlife area on the north side of Lake Moultrie has several hiking trails through the wetlands, plus access to the Palmetto Trail. Some of these trails run along the dike which has a good view of the area. A nearby campsite overlooks the lake.

How to Get There

• Take I-95 to exit #98 and go southeast on SC #6 33.9 kilometers (21.1 miles). Turn left onto SC #45 and go northeast 15.3 kilometers (9.5 miles). Look for the fire tower. Turn right onto Sandy Beach Road (unpaved) and follow this road into the Wildlife Management Area.
