This wildlife refuge consists of over 29,000 acres of freshwater marshes, tidal creeks, and bottomland hardwoods. It supports a diverse wildlife population. The Laurel Hill Wildlife Drive provides opportunities for hiking, off-road bicycling, and driving through a variety of scenic areas. Many other trails wind their way around this refuge.

How to Get There

  • Take I-95 to exit #5 in South Carolina. Go south on US #17 until you are in the Wildlife Refuge.
