Modoc Trail

This hiking trail, which is also known as the “Stevens Creek Trail”, runs along the west side of Stevens Creek, with some good views of the creek and its tributaries. Off-road bicycles are permitted, but motorcycles are not.

How to get there
|
The entrance is on the north side of SC #23, between Edgefield and Modoc.
Take I-20 to exit #199 in Georgia. Go west on Georgia #28 (Washington Road) 1.5 kilometers (about one mile) and turn right onto Furys Ferry Road. Go north 11.3 km. (7.0 mi.) to the Savannah River. Continue north on SC #28 for 18.9 km. (11.7 mi.), then turn right onto SC #23. Go east on SC #23 for 2.2 km. (1.4 mi.), and the trailhead will be on the left side of the road, just before the bridge.
