Sumter′s Swan Lake and Iris Gardens combine twenty-five species of Japanese irises and swans from around the world in a natural setting. From late May into June is usually the best time to view the iris. The wetland area has boardwalks running thru it and a 3/4-mile hiking trail. A large picnic shelter is available with a snack bar.

|
Take US #521 or Business US #76 into downtown Sumter, SC. Turn onto West Liberty Street (US #763) and go west 2.3 kilometers (1.4 miles). Look for the overpass.
