This is the main information center for the Thurmond Lake at Clarks Hill project. From here, you can also see some nice views of the lake and the dam.

How to get there

The entrance is on the north side of US #221, east of the dam on the South Carolina side of Lake Thurmond.

Take I-20 to exit #199 in Georgia. Go west on Georgia #104 (Washington Road) 1.5 kilometers (one mile) and turn right onto Georgia #28 (Furys Ferry Road). Go north 11.3 km. to the Savannah River. Continue north on SC #28 11.5 km. (7 miles) into Clarks Hill, SC. Turn left onto US #221 and go west 1.7 km. (one mile). The entrance to the visitors’ center will be on the right.
