This large recreation complex is located along a creek in one of the older neighborhoods of Florence. It is a great place to walk because of its length. The park features include lighted tennis courts, picnic areas, a picnic shelter, a gazebo, gardens, interpretive nature trails, and two fitness courses, one of which is handicap accessible. The one-room school building where Henry Timrod taught is preserved here, as well as an old steam locomotive built in 1917 by Vulcan Iron Works.

Lucas Park is only a few blocks away from here.
