This state park is a popular place for launching boats onto Lake Wateree. Many picnic tables overlook the lake, and there is a small playground. Several hiking trails wind around Desportes Island and the mainland. The camping area features a paved road with 72 campsites, some of which are on the lake.
Just outside of the park entrance, the Dutchman′s Creek Bridge Walkway offers some more great views of the lake.
